Gemcraft: The Day After
Gemcraft Chapter Zero: Gem of Eternity has been out for three full days and its time to make up a balance. To begin with numbers, the game has had over half a million gameplays and the average rating is just over a 9.4 which is not bad at all. Most comments are very positive and there seems to be a consensus on the increased difficulty level.
Of course, we have finished the game as well and we are very pleased with the result to say the least. The increased diffculty makes the game more challenging and rewarding. There are plenty of levels and every stage has atleast eight different modes with an unlockable never-ending mode after finishing the story for the first time. There’s plenty of replay value with all the different modes for every stage and everything is looking and feeling very polished. The implications of the new gameplay elements are not as big as we expected, but the traps and beacons are a pleasant addition to the game. The plot is simple but exciting enough to keep you interested in what might come next and explains the events before Gemcraft Chapter One: The Forgotten.
Developer Game in a Bottle can be proud with their latest product. They have been busy since its launch and have updated to v1.01 shortly after the initial release, fixing a few issues like broken hotkeys. At this rate, the game is heading to a record number of unique gameplays in no time. If you haven’t played this gem of a game yet, make sure to do so!
